Creating the Design Boards

For this project I will be creating design boards again, this will be a similar process to that of my last project. Again, I used Photoshop 2024 for this. Every design board is on an A3 sized canvas with a landscape orientation.

I started by creating a cover image for my design boards. I chose to use the 'Ghost Theory' font in size 131pt. I added my logo as well. For the background colour I used the Pantone colour of the year; 'Peach Fuzz'. The bright colour goes well with the aim of the collection, regrowth and elegance.

To made the background for the drawings transparent, I simply used the 'Magic Wand' tool in the menu on the left and clicked the negative space on the original layer. I then used 'Ctrl + X' to remove the background. There is a remove background function on Photoshop, however, I chose not to use this as it creates a mask on the layer which makes the image unnecessarily large.

I then added all the drawings to the cover. I added some flowers with the font 'fotograami-flowers' as well, rasterising their layers before flipping one horizontally using 'Edit' and 'Transform'.

I made a template again, so I do not have to redo the same things for every design board. The template includes the logo, the name of the collection and a changeable title for every design board. It also includes the corner decoration.

I wrote my introduction and created a coloured text box by creating a selection around the text with the 'Selection' tool and filling it using 'Edit' and 'Fill'. For the text I used the font 'Baskerville Old Face' in size 30pt.

For the design drawing boards I used size 30pt for the font. I used the 'Line' tool to drag lines from the text to the image. To add the drawings I used the same technique I mentioned earlier on in this post.

I used the same fonts, colours and techniques for all the other design boards.
