Generating Ideas: Perspective

I was given another task to help generate some ideas and gather inspiration, this time the task was to change the perspective on designs and play around with it. I struggled to apply this task to my sketches, since most of them would remain the same from different perspectives. I decided to play around with the shapes instead, imagining what gravity might do to them if worn differently or if put down onto a flat surface.

Initially, I did not see the point in this task. However, when I started I figured out that a lot of the parts in my sketches were movable instead of stiff material. I saw that moving pendants and chains around could create new design entirely. This task helped with picking favourites as well, I found myself returning to the same or similar designs that I picked in the previous task

Update:

After finishing my initial research on William Morris, I felt like the designs I made inspired by his patterns would fit well into this exercise.
